1 HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE MY ELEVAPE SMART TO HEAT UP?
The unit was designed to produce vapor immediately upon inhalation. It is achieved by utilizing high output lithium polymer battery cells that supply the heating coil with enough power to reach its preprogrammed vaporizing temperature in a fraction of a second.
2 HOW DO I CHARGE MY ELEVAPE SMART AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Simply plug your vaporizer into the supplied wall charger or any standard USB source. Standard charging time will be approximately 2 hours. However, it is recommended that you charge the unit for 5 hours, before the first use, to allow the battery cells to balance.
3 WHAT IS DIGITAL GLOW SENSING TECHNOLOGY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
The glow sensing system is designed to take readings from the heating coil over 100 times a second to maintain a constant temperature in the chamber. It does this by analyzing the light emissions from the coil which is affected by your temperature setting, the volume at which you are inhaling and the ambient temperature. It uses this information to continuously oscillate the power output to the coil to maintain the temperature in the chamber at the setting you have chosen.
4 WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONVECTION HEATING AND CONDUCTION HEATING?
Convection heating produces the highest-quality vapor by pre-heating the air before it passes through the material, which is the optimal method for extracting the most flavors and active ingredients. Conduction heating heats the material through direct contact. Not only is it less efficient, it also leads to some combustion.
5 HOW MANY CYCLES WILL I GET BETWEEN CHARGES?
Total uses vary with temperature settings and blend but you should get between 50-80 cycles on a full charge.
6 HOW DO I FILL THE HERB CHAMBER?
Simply remove the aluminum top cap (Gentle twist and lift) and lightly pack your favorite blend into the chamber. The best results are achieved with dry, finely ground blend.
7 HOW DO I CLEAN MY ELEVAPE SMART?
We recommend that you clean your unit at least once a month. The unit is built for easy cleaning. The modular design allows for the vaporization chamber to be completely disassembled and cleaned. There is a video on our cleaning page to show you the procedure in detail.
8 IS THE BATTERY USER REPLACEABLE?
No. The integrated high power Lithium polymer battery pack is not user replaceable. But with care and regular charging it should last for years. Should it need to be replaced it can be returned to our US or European service center for service.
9 WHAT DO ALL THE LIGHTS MEAN?
The green /amber Charging Indicator light located next to the switch. Under normal conditions, it will only come on during charging. Amber light indicates your device is charging. A blinking green light means your unit is fully charge.
The charging light also functions as a problem indictor. If the unit is unplugged from the charging cable and the amber light blinks, this indicates that there is either a problem with the firmware or the hardware. Please call customer service at 888-686-5432 for instructions on what to do next.
The red Session Indicator Light located on top of the Smart. It comes on the moment you begin to inhale. It indicates that the coil is being powered and your material has started to vaporize. This light will stay solid for 7 seconds or the moment you stop inhaling. If you inhale for the full 7 seconds, the light will blink twice and the Smart will automatically reset itself. It is immediately ready for your next session.
The session indicator light also functions as a problem indicator. If you begin a session and the light immediately blinks 3 times, it generally indicates that the battery needs charging. If the light continues to blink 3 times after you have recharged the unit, it may indicate a problem with the coil. If you recently cleaned your smart, it is possible that you had excessive contact with the coil. Our troubleshooting page will show you what a working coil should look like and how to tell if there is a problem. The coil is easy to fix and there will be instructions on how to troubleshoot the problem yourself. As always, should you have any questions or cannot eliminate the problem yourself. call customer service at 888-686-5432 for additional instructions.
